# Junior Moderator Policies

## Overview

All Junior Moderators are required to complete a **one-week trial period** before becoming eligible for promotion to Moderator.

Upon successfully passing their training or interview, the staff member will receive the **Junior Moderator** rank and be placed on a **Zero Tolerance Period (ZTP)** lasting one week. The staff member will be notified when their trial period begins.

During this period, Junior Moderators will be closely monitored to determine whether they are suitable for a permanent position within the FSRP Staff Team.

### Expectations

Junior Moderators are expected to:

* Demonstrate effective **communication and professionalism**.
* Be **efficient and proactive** while on duty.
* Follow all **staff guidelines and procedures**.
* Ask fellow staff members or higher-ranking staff for **assistance** when unsure of a moderation or staffing decision.

***

## Trial Requirements

To successfully pass the Junior Moderator trial phase, you must:

* **Complete** your assigned quota during the first full quota cycle following your hire date.
* Maintain a **satisfactory standard of conduct** with **minimal to no infractions** throughout the trial period.
* **Remain fully active:** You are not permitted to request or go on a Leave of Absence (LOA) until you have successfully passed your trial period.

> **Note:** Junior Moderators hired after **Monday** are exempt from quota requirements for their first quota cycle.

***

## Zero Tolerance Period (ZTP)

During your one-week Zero Tolerance Period, your activity, conduct, and performance will be reviewed by management.

The purpose of the ZTP is to ensure that all Junior Moderators:

* **Understand** and **follow** staff procedures.
* Are **capable** of handling moderation responsibilities.
* **Maintain professional conduct** while representing the staff team.
* **Meet the standards expected** of an FSRP staff member.

***

## Failure to Meet Requirements

### Failure to Meet Quota

Failure to complete your required quota during the Junior Moderator phase may result in immediate termination from the staff team.

### Excessive Infractions

If a Junior Moderator meets quota but accumulates an unacceptable number of infractions during the trial period, management may extend the trial period by an additional week.

During any extended trial period, the Junior Moderator must again:

* **Complete their quota** requirements.
* Maintain **minimal to no infractions**.
* Meet **all staff expectations**.

Failure to do so may result in **termination**.

***

## Promotion

Upon successfully completing the trial period and meeting all requirements, the Junior Moderator will be promoted to **Moderator**.
